About Us

We began our business in 1978, when Joe Couto first formed Couto's Janitorial Services Company. In 1982, we changed the name to United Building Maintenance. With the name change also came an increase in service offerings and staff. We started offering our services to general contractors, property managers and property owners.

In 2000, United Building Maintenance became an LLC. We now have two dozen employees, numerous trucks and we provide a wide range of services to customers all over the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

We have the staff and expertise to manage all of your janitorial service needs.

Our Mission

We are looking to develop long term relationships with General Contractors, Property Managers, and Property Owners servicing the SF Bay Area. Our commitment to quality is our highest goal; you will see it in our results!
